Privacy & cookies
Who we are. Una's 2210 Patisserie Limited, 2210patisserie.ie. Contact: info@2210patisserie.ie.
What we keep and why. Your name, email, phone and address, to make and deliver your order and to contact you about it. If you join our email list, your email to send it (unsubscribe any time).
Payments. Card payments are processed by Square. We never see or store your card details.
Who we share it with. Only those who help us run the shop and your order, and only what they need: Square (payments, your customer profile and 2210 Rewards), DPD (delivery), Google (our email, including info@2210patisserie.ie and order emails, runs on Google Workspace; Google Analytics only if you say yes), Vercel and Supabase (the website's hosting and database, which hold your order), and Anthropic, whose AI model Claude writes the order help chat's replies, sorts the emails sent to info@2210patisserie.ie and drafts replies for our team, and turns what you type into the website's search into results. Anything you put in an email to us, such as an allergy question, a photo or your order details, is read this way too. We never sell your information.
Cookies. We use the cookies the site needs to work (like your bag) and, if you agree, analytics and marketing cookies from services like Google and Meta.
Visit statistics. To see how the website is used, we count which pages and products are viewed and the steps through the bag and checkout, with the county you're in (worked out from your internet address, which isn't kept with your visit), the type of device and how you found us. Without your yes to analytics cookies this uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device and doesn't identify you: an order is counted only by its value. If you agree to analytics cookies, we also link your visits together over time, and a visit that ends in an order is linked to that order.
Stopping misuse. To stop spam and misuse of the checkout, the chat and the Rewards and gift card look-ups, we count the tries from each internet address. The address is kept only in a coded form that changes every day and can't be turned back into the address, and it's deleted after an hour (the daily limits, such as the chat's, at the end of the day).
Order help chat. When you use the order help chat on our website, we keep the conversation and anything it adds to your bag, so we can answer you and improve the chat. The replies are written by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, which processes the conversation to answer you. We keep chats for 90 days and then delete them. Please don't type card details or other sensitive information into the chat.
2210 Rewards. We don't look your number up at checkout. If you tick Join, we add the mobile number in your details to 2210 Rewards after you've paid, and only then. Square's Rewards rules decide what earns points, so most website orders don't earn any: points are earned mainly in our shops. 2210 Rewards runs on Square Loyalty: Square holds your Rewards account, your points and your number.
Your customer profile. Square keeps one customer profile for you, for our shops and the website. A website order is matched to your profile by your email (or a new profile is made). An existing profile isn't changed by a website order: the details you give at checkout stay on that order. We use what you've bought in the shops and online together to put customers into groups (for example regulars, cake customers, or someone whose celebration cake from last year comes round again soon), and these groups are used for our marketing emails, sent through Square. You can object to this, or ask us to stop, at info@2210patisserie.ie. If you object, we take you out of these groups, clear what we've worked out about you from your profile, and keep you out.
Bag reminder emails. If you tick 'Email me if I leave something in my bag' at checkout, we keep your email, your name, what's in your bag, and the wording and time of your tick. If you leave without ordering, we email you about your bag from info@2210patisserie.ie about an hour later (never between 9pm and 8am) and once more a day later. It stops when you order, after the second email, or when you unsubscribe with the link in the email. We delete this record 30 days after the last email, your order or your unsubscribe; we keep only the fact that you unsubscribed, so we don't email you again.
Problems at checkout. If a payment is declined or something goes wrong at checkout, we log what happened with your name and email (and your mobile, if it was a 2210 Rewards problem), so we can help you finish your order and fix the website. After 90 days your details are removed from the log.
Welcome back. If you say yes to analytics cookies, this device remembers the orders you place on it (the order number and a private code, the last five), so our home page can offer your usual order again, mention a celebration cake you ordered about a year ago, and suggest a few things. 'Reject all' clears it.
Corporate gifting. For a corporate gifting order, the list of people you give us (their names, addresses, phone numbers and any message) and the logo you upload are used only to make and send that order. The names, addresses and phone numbers go to DPD to deliver the boxes. They are kept with the order record.
Trade accounts. When you apply for a trade account on our Wholesale page, we keep what you give us (your business name, town, your name, email and phone, the type of business, whether you have an oven and what you're looking for) so we can look at your application and reply. We email you about it from info@2210patisserie.ie. If we approve it, your business is set up as a customer in Square (our tills, orders and invoices), in its Wholesale or Corporate customer group, and as a contact in Xero, our accounting system, which holds your invoices and payment terms. When you order on our trade page, we also keep your delivery address and Eircode for next time, and your orders and invoices. Your password is kept only in a scrambled form we can't read, and signing in keeps you signed in on that device for 30 days with a cookie the trade page needs to work.
How long we keep it. Order records, corporate gifting lists and logos included, for as long as the law requires for accounts (usually six years). Order help chats for 90 days. Your details on a checkout problem record for 90 days. Bag reminder records for 30 days after the last email, your order or your unsubscribe. The coded internet addresses used to stop misuse for an hour (the daily limits until the end of that day). Visit statistics for 13 months; after that only daily totals are kept, with nothing about any one visit. A trade account's details for as long as the account is open, and its orders and invoices for as long as the law requires for accounts (usually six years). A trade account application we decline, or one that's never approved, is deleted 12 months after it was made or declined. Anything else no longer than needed.
Your rights. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at info@2210patisserie.ie, and we'll reply within a month. You can also object to the customer groups above at any time. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
