Questions we're asked a lot
Can't find your answer? Email info@2210patisserie.ie or call 085 158 4158.
Postal orders
Where do you deliver?+
Anywhere in the Republic of Ireland, by DPD. We can't post to Northern Ireland or abroad yet.
How long does delivery take?+
Order by 1pm, Monday to Thursday, and it's usually with you the next day; please allow 1–2 working days. A few boxes are posted on Thursdays only.
How much is delivery?+
See Delivery & collection for the current price; it's the same anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.
Can I send it as a gift?+
Yes: add a gift note at checkout and we'll write it in. Our boxes fit through the letterbox, so mind any pets.
Can I change or cancel my order?+
Postal order contents can't be changed. Food orders can be cancelled up to 28 hours before: a posted order, before its dispatch day starts at 10am in Mullingar; delivery by our van (office orders too), before delivery starts at 8am on its day; a collection, before collection starts at 10am on its day. Cupcakes and bulk orders follow the same rule. To cancel, email info@2210patisserie.ie (or reply to your order email) with your order number: an email that reaches us before the cut-off counts, even when the shop and phone are closed. Celebration cakes: a full refund up to 14 days before the date; after that we keep a €50 booking charge. Homeware and books can be cancelled within 14 days of receiving them, except a book Una has written a personal message in, as it's made personal for you.
What if I get the address wrong?+
Please double-check your address and include your Eircode: we can't refund or replace a parcel sent to a wrong or incomplete address.
Celebration cakes
How much notice do you need?+
We bake and decorate every cake to order, so please book at least four days ahead (five for Lambeth and Flower Bomb). Collection is Wednesday to Saturday.
Do you deliver cakes?+
Celebration cakes are collected from Mullingar or Dublin, between 10am and 3:30pm. Wedding cakes are delivered and set up by us.
What are your most popular flavours?+
Chocolate Biscuit, and Raspberry & White Chocolate.
Do you make themed cakes?+
Yes: we have set themes and take enquiries for custom themes. We don't cover cakes in fondant (our name plaques are fondant).
Can you make a cake for a dietary need?+
We bake gluten-free traybakes, but our kitchen uses gluten, nuts and other allergens, so we can't make cakes free from them.
How do I store and carry my cake?+
Somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight; if it's 19°C or warmer, keep it in the fridge and take it out two hours before serving. It keeps for up to 5 days in the fridge. Carry it flat in the boot of the car and drive with care.
Is your kitchen HSE approved?+
Yes.
Weddings
Can we taste the cake first?+
Yes: order our Wedding Cake Sample Pack (on the website; it's posted four times a year), or visit us in Mullingar for a tasting and a chat.
Our shops
When are you open?+
Opening hours for Mullingar and Dublin are on Visit our shops.
Are you nut free?+
No. We use nuts and peanuts in the bakery and can't guarantee anything is free from them. See Allergens.
