2210 Patisserie was founded in 2015 by me, Una Leonard.
I developed a keen interest in baking from a young age and pursued this interest through school and college. I studied and graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts and Business from Galway, Mayo Institute of Technology.
This degree opened doors for me into some of the finest restaurants in Ireland including Neven McGuires MacNean House. While I was working as a pastry chef, I developed a love for creating luxury combinations using the finest ingredients and also discovered an exquisite eye for detailing.
I was lucky enough to hone my skills in a variety of respected establishments, and learning from masterful bakers around Ireland, developing bespoke dessert menus for their clientele.
On the 02/02/10, I became an Aunt for the first time and it was through creating birthday cakes for my nephew that I took my first steps into the cake decorating world. This special date also inspired the name of the business. After years of perfecting my cake decorating skills and growing my client base it was time to open the doors of my first bakery on the 2nd of February 2015.
